Overview
Cupboard is an instrument that samples video the way a sampler samples sound.
Load a clip into one of four lanes, give it a root note and a key range, and play: the key decides the rate, and the picture follows the sound rather than the other way round.
What comes out of the audio outputs is the clip's own audio at that rate. What the canvas shows is every sounding lane composited, each with its own position, scale, opacity and chroma keyer.

Video from the Audio Side
Most instruments that play video from a keyboard put the picture first and let the sound follow. Cupboard is the other way round.
Playback is kept as a position in audio samples, and the picture is derived from it. Play an octave up and the sound rises an octave while the picture runs at double speed, together. They cannot drift apart.
Each lane has its own chroma keyer, including the despill that cancels the background colour reflected onto the edges of the subject, so a green-screen clip is finished inside the lane it plays in.
Why There Are No Presets
Cupboard has no presets.
Its material is video files, and a patch cannot carry a file. A preset could only point at a clip that happened to be in one place on one machine, and it would mean nothing on another. For an instrument whose sound is the file, saying so is more honest than pretending the sound travels.
